Yes, pediatric surgeries are very safe when performed by trained pediatric surgeons with proper anesthesia support.
No. Your child will be under anesthesia and will not feel pain during the procedure.
Your doctor will give fasting instructions. Usually, food and milk are stopped a few hours before anesthesia.
Short Stay Surgery:
Short stay surgery means your child may need to stay in the hospital for a brief period, usually less than 24–48 hours, for observation and recovery. It allows safe monitoring while still minimizing hospital time and helping your child return home quickly.
Day Care Surgery:
Day care surgery means your child is admitted, undergoes the procedure, and goes home on the same day. It is safe, convenient, and helps reduce stress by avoiding an overnight hospital stay.
In most cases, dissolvable stitches are used and do not need removal.
